Font Snobs…
Just throwing it out there… I don’t really give a fuck what font somebody uses for anything… School project.. bad diner sign, Blockbuster movie credits, what-have-you… I DON’T GIVE A FLYING FUCK!!! apparently I should care… according to several blogs I just read… but I don’t…
Its not that I don’t have an interest in Fonts… because I appreciate a well designed font as much as the next guy and if it were a matter of the use of cliche or silly fonts on a piece of fine art than I could understand the uproar… Fine art should strive for a higher ascetic… but today’s pop art and pop culture, even in its well done manifestations (in my opinion) are pretty much just one-dimensional garbage to begin with so I don’t really care at all if Avatar (though it was an entertaining movie) used papyrus font…nor if Lil Wayne has a diamond encrusted “BLING” font on the cover of his album….That SHIT doesn’t make a difference to me or my life in the least possible way…ya wanna know why? BECAUSE IN ITS ESSENCE IT IS JUST EXTREMELY PETTY BULLSHIT!!!
Just like most of the things young Americans occupy their time with nowadays…
